Craig Hamilton has been the President of CH&Co. since its inception in 1995.  Prior to establishing CH&Co., Craig was with Arthur Andersen LLP for eighteen years, with his last position being partner in charge of the tax division of Andersen’s Fort Worth office as well as partner in charge of the worldwide tax retail/distribution industry program for the firm.

      During his career at Arthur Andersen, Craig was involved in numerous areas.  In addition to client responsibilities in various industries and for individuals and diverse business operations. Craig also wrote the internal tax training classes for all Arthur Andersen personnel for the retail and distribution industries.  In addition since leaving Arthur Andersen, Craig has consulted with two of the Big Five accounting firms and several law firms regarding tax and financial matters.

      Since beginning Craig Hamilton & Company, Craig has worked extensively in tax, financial planning and general consulting for privately held businesses and wealthy individuals.  Craig has appeared as an expert witness in numerous matters on various tax and financial issues making appearances both by deposition and in open court..  Craig is a frequent speaker on topics related to operational, financial and tax issues in the retail industry and has presented speeches in the U.S, Canada, Mexico and over a dozen other countries over the past five years.

     In addition to his business pursuits, Craig is also active in several charitable and civic activities including positions as Chairman of the Board of Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail, President of the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation, Treasurer of the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant, Board Member of the Botanical Research Institute of Texas, and Member of the Advisory Board for the Accounting Department of the College of Business at the University of North Texas.  In his spare time, Craig has participated in automobile racing for over twenty years, and enjoys golf and tennis.

    Craig grew up in Denton, Texas, and attended the University of North Texas, graduating with BBA and MBA degrees in accounting.  Craig’s wife, Ellen, is also a CPA and works full time with CH&Co. The Hamilton's have two children, Paul (’85) and Rachel (’89).

 Craig is a member of the Texas Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s.
